Fever

Haley had here first big fever this last week & boy am I glad she's better! It started Monday night & I just chalked it up to teething, but by Tuesday afternoon, she was just not acting quite right so off to the Doctor's we went. The doctor couldn't find any obvious reason for the fever, so she sent us home with instructions to call if it got worse. Well, on Wednesday we spent the whole day battling the fever, with showers, baths, blaring the air conditioning, Tylenol, Motrin & of course, ice cream! It still went all the way up to 104.4! So back to the doctor we went, this time she tested for the flu, it came up negative, but she said the test is only 75% accurate & she was pretty sure Haley probably had it. Since Haley is so young she couldn't do anything to treat it, so she just sent us home with instructions to keep doing what we were doing. Finally Saturday morning Haley woke up fever free! She still is a little congested, but other than that she's back to her feisty self. Daddy already misses the extra cuddly sick Haley, but we both don't miss the 4 nights in a row of being up in the middle of the night trying to lower her temp.
