New Year's Eve

We went to Aunt Rose & Uncle Mike's house for an early New Year's Eve party.  It was mainly for the kids, so the balloon drop was around 8pm & then home for bed.

Aunt Rose made little goody bags for the kids.

Of course she included horns.

All the kids loved making tons of noise!

Aunt Rose passed out a mix of Sierra Mist & Pop Rocks for a special drink for the kids.  Haley was not a fan :)

Ramona!

Jon & Haley's new bedtime routine includes reading chapters from the Ramona series.  They finished  Beezus and Ramona in just 6 nights.  Now they are reading Ramona the Pest.  I think they like the series so much because it reminds them of another certain little girl who's always in trouble ;)

 

Pool Shark

Haley has always wanted to play pool with Papa & finally about a week ago Papa decided he would try teaching her how to play.  She loves it!  She sits patiently listening to his critiques on how to hold the cue correctly & tries over & over to hit the ball just right.  She's so proud of herself.

One Last Christmas Celebration

The day after Christmas, Jon & Haley headed over to Aunt Rose & Uncle Mike's house for another Christmas get together.

With all the fun going on outside, we were inside cooking dinner.  Doesn't it look like we're having fun? The ham I had bought ended up not being packaged correctly & when I opened it, it was turning green.  So, in the trash it went & we enjoyed scalloped potatoes, peas & rolls for dinner.  Oh well.
