Day at the Zoo

Today we took a trip to the Santa Barbara Zoo.



The kids had a ball in the playground area.






They were mesmerized by the lions :)


We found some adorable monkeys!




And on our way we saw these cute little guys!

Sleeping Success

So for almost 3 years now we have had a family bed. We love sharing our bed with Haley, we have had so many special moments with her that we would have missed without it. But, it's also nice to have our bed to ourselves, so last week I set out to make Haley's bedroom more welcoming to her. She's been scared of the dark lately, so I set up several night lights, glow-in-the-dark stars, light up moon, etc. & I also added some princess wallies to make it even more not scary.


Well, it was a success! Last night Haley slept in her bed, by herself, for the first time!


She slept from 7:30pm - 2:30am & then woke up, called for Daddy & came to spend the rest of the night with us.


She was sooo proud!

So I came across this idea on several blogs & this one in particular had a great way to cut the apples, so they had handles.


We used apple colors & Haley really liked it.


But, it was only a matter of time before she wanted to use her hands instead of the apples.

Haley started her first soccer practice today.




She was really into right away.




The class is pretty basic & Haley is one of the older kids, so she spent a lot of time playing with Daddy.
