Two

One month ago today Haley turned 2.
This is some of who she is at this moment in time.


Haley can
Say the alphabet & recognizes many letters when seen in words.

Count pretty good to around 20, then usually skips a few numbers while counting up to her favorites 34 & 35.
------
Is in the process of solidly knowing her colors. She can match them together & she often will tell you the correct color of things, but she still sometimes gets confused & mixes them up.

Singing (she likes to sing a song from an HBO Peter Rabbit musical, so she is often heard dramatically singing "So near & yet so far!". So if you hear her randomly break into song, it's probably Peter Rabbit. She also likes to sing very loudly like Princess Fiona in Shrek & even adds a "POP!" to the end when the little bird singing with Princess Fiona explodes from the high pitch.)


Haley Speaks

"Mommy, hold me, you" (Haley's way of asking Mommy to pick her up)

"Princess Nona" (Princess Fiona, she loves her)

"Hey! Come back here!" (She yells this as she chases you around the diningroom table.)

"I Lub it! I Lub it!" (Said often, especially when eating peas.)

"Have it?" (When she wants something. Often said while reaching out her little hands.)

"Elmo's song Mommy! Elmo's Song Mommy! Elmo's Song Mommy! Elmo's Song Mommy!" (Yelled from the back seat of the car for me to change the cd to her song...)

"I find you!" (Said while hugging whatever person or stuffy she's located.)
.......
"Hi! How are you? I'm Haley. You're Nana. Your Mommy." (This was said to Nana the other day while we were eating lunch.)
.......
"Haley's home!" (She annouces this as she comes through the front door. She believes she's a celebrity & everyone needs to know she's arrived!)
.......
"Sorry. Sorry." (This is said to strangers in stores when she passes them or gets in their way. Now, if she's done something wrong & you tell her to say sorry, she refuses. It turns into a 10 minute battle of the wills until she eventually cracks, after much screaming & tantruming.)


Haley...

Is currently getting in her 2 year old molars :(

Hates having to sleep. She doesn't want to miss a thing.

Is definately becoming much more independent. She eats, wears & does what she wants to & if you try & tell her other wise, be prepared for a fight.

She is super sweet. She loves babies, holding them, feeding them, kissing them. If you have an owie she'll kiss it & make it better. And it's the best thing in the world when she wraps her little arms around your neck & nuzzles her face in your shoulder.
