San Diego Zoo

Instead of a party this year, we decided to take a small family trip to the San Diego Zoo to celebrate Haley's 2nd birthday. We headed down on a Friday night, went to the Zoo on Saturday & slowly headed home on Sunday. Of course, Haley decided to skip her nap on Friday, so I thought she would sleep on the way down. Wrong!!! She lasted through over 3 hours of driving, until almost 11pm & then, 5 minutes before we arrived at our hotel, she fell asleep. That's our girl, never wants to miss a thing!


We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, with a bedroom & bathroom upstairs & downstairs. Kinda like a condo. Nana & Papa were upstairs & Haley LOVED it. Here they are looking down from the loft.


And of course hanging out with her "friends" on the stairs.


Now, on to the zoo.


Of course, Haley refuses to be contained by a stroller, so she spent alot of time in Daddy's arms.


She was also quite concerned with being close to Nana at ALL TIMES while at the zoo, so Nana got a pretty good arm workout too.


"touch it. touch it." She couldn't understand why we couldn't just open up the cage & pet the llama. She was sooo close...


"Daddy look! Daddy look! Elephant!" followed by a Haley elephant sound(which is very cute I might add).


Wondering how she could climb this.


Haley deciding to give the lions some privacy. They had just had an adult moment. What, they're wild animals ;)


On to the polar bears!


I know, I know, they're VERY BRAVE!


And then Haley went & swam with the seals.



Of course she can fly a helicopter. She's Haley!
