18 Months

On Saturday Haley turned 18 months old! She's such a toddler, such a little girl. Always learning, she amazes us everyday. She's very strong-willed, knows what she wants & what she doesn't want & has no problem letting you know that. She loves singing, her current favorites are "this little light of mine", "the itsy bitsy spider", "wheels on the bus" & "head, shoulder, knees & toes". She has memorized words on each page of several books, so when we can't sit down with her, she'll read to herself. A couple of her favorite books are How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight, How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You, Just A Little Critter Collection, The Berestain Bears Go To The Moon & Go, Train, Go. She talks a ton, counts to 10, loves letters & phonics(thank you LeapFrog Letter Factory movie & magnets). Recently, she has found where the crayons & markers are kept & she pulls them out often to color. She is always on a mission to get outside, so she can climb, run, swing, ride in her wagon, play in water & get dirty. She's a wonderful little mother to Elmo, she cleans his face, feeds him, dances with him & helps him do the motions to the wheels on the bus. Finally, at the end of the day, her favorite place to be is cuddled up next to her mommy. After bath time, her daddy brings her in to me & she squeals & giggles while she scoots her little body next to me to nurse. She has the sweetest spirit & we absolutely enjoy every minute with her.
